Life After Nano

Maybe the most difficult thing, now, is moving forward after Nanowrimo.  Even when I did finish a novel in 2006, I found I could not move forward.  That novel has sat in a binder, unedited, for years now.

And, with this novel, I am halfway through.  I see it coming together, and it is more cohesive than the previous one.  (I expected that.)  But, continuity is the key.  So, here on this blog, I will be posting entries and ideas about “Life After Nano.”

Who knows of any good “word counters”?

A year or two ago, I completed NaNoWriMo. (Under a name other than Seer Ovum.) Last fall, November of 2007, I tried again, but the site was clogged with traffic. I was wondering if anyone knew of some relatively good word counters. I’m excluding the more boring varieties, such as Word’s built in Word Counter. Certainly Word’s gives good stats, but it is not quite as much fun as reading “tax, title, and license” fine print on a contract. (Should I design my own?)
